Karen A. Weaver, J.D., R.Ph.

Ms. Weaver is an attorney at Epstein Becker & Green, P.C. in Chicago, as well as a registered pharmacist.

She received her B.S. in pharmacy from the University of Toledo, Toledo, OH. She was on the Deanís List, was Treasurer of her Pharmacy Class, served as Presiden, Lambda Kappa Sigma, Professional Fraternity, and is a recipient of the Upjohn Pharmacy Intern Award. She received her Judis Doctor degree from Depaul University and earned a Health Law Certificate.

She is a partner in Epstein, Becker & Green PC, Chicago, IL (where she specializes in representing clients with FDA, FTC and other Federal and State regulatory bodies; reviewing labeling, advertising and promotions for regulatory compliance with food, drug, device, cosmetic, dietary supplement and animal feed matters; drafting agreement, i.e., licensing, sales, distribution, manufacturing; and representing clients in regulatory and corporate litigation.)

Previously she was Founder and Managing Partner, Weaver Law Group, LLC, Chicago, IL. (representing client food, drug, device, and cosmetic, regulatory matters; providing intellectual property counsel, especially trademark and copyright issues; representing clients in state and federal court on Lanham Act, contract and regulatory agency matters; reviewing product labeling, advertising and promotions; and advising clients in general corporate matters and network marketing issues). While at Weaver Law Group, she provided legal counsel to manufacturers and distributors of food, dietary supplement, drug, device, and cosmetic products; advised network and telemarketing clients in legal matters; represented clients before the FDA, FTC and other State and Federal regulatory bodies; and drafted corporate agreements. Prior to this, Ms. Weaver was an associate at Dilling and Dilling, Chicago, IL. where she reviewed and revised product labeling and advertising for clients in the food, drug and cosmetic industries and assisted in representation before State and Federal regulatory bodies such as the FTC and States Attorneys General. Her pharmacy experience includes serving as a Pharmacist, Administrator, and Manager at Caremark, Inc., a division of Baxter International, Inc.; and as Executive Vice President of Medical Support Systems, Inc. She has written 18 articles and presentations in her areas of expertise. Notable achievements include serving as Adjunct Professor at DePaul University, teaching courses in Food and Drug Law.
